Challenger Airlines Pilot Wing

Salt Lake City, UT 1947 - 1950

Founded as Summit Airways in 1941 in Wyoming. Name changed to Challenger Airlines in 1947 and moved operations to Salt Lake City. The airline was in financial trouble most of its existence and merged with Monarch Airlines and Arizona Airways on June 1, 1950, to form Frontier Airlines, headquartered in Denver, Colorado.
